The Festival Series Presents: Hospitality Schedule in Malta 2025
The hospitality experiences at our live events have always been designed with the players in mind. For those who have included hospitality activities in their full package, we are pleased to offer an exceptional hospitality schedule once again. This time, it’s fully in line with the vibrant lifestyle of Malta, combined with The Festival's flair.
Live poker should be seen as a poker vacation—an opportunity to visit cool poker destinations around Europe, where fun and enjoyment are the true keys to success. While the thrill of live poker events remains central to the experience, it's the epic hospitality activities that add an extra dimension to the entire adventure that is called 'The Festival Series'. Martin 'Franke' von Zweigbergk and The Festival team, in collaboration with Portomaso Casino, have once again crafted a hospitality program that promises to make your stay unforgettable!

Monday, September 15, 2025 – Welcome Drinks
We’ll kick off the week at Portomaso Casino with Welcome Drinks in the Casino Tournament Area Bar. From 19:30 – 20:00, enjoy a toast with your fellow players before heading to the Poker area to start your week in style. Of course, we will kick off the Hospitality Flips as well, where you can win tickets for the Roulette Championship tournament.

Tuesday, September 16, 2025 – Poolparty & Wine Tasting
Get your swimsuits ready! From 11:00 – 14:00, we’re taking over the Flo Sky Pool for a refreshing pool party with drinks, sunshine, and music (Meeting point 10:45 in front of the casino). Later in the evening, at the Rooftop JL Hotel, it’s time for Wine Tasting Session 1 from 19:00 – 21:00. Limited to 20 participants—don’t forget to register through Christel.

Wednesday, September 17, 2025 – Pizza Lunch & Wine Tasting
We’ll meet at The Avenue for a delicious Pizza Lunch from 13:00 – 15:00. In the evening, head back to the Rooftop JL Hotel for Wine Tasting Session 2 (19:00 – 21:00). The Wine Tasting is limited to 20 participants. Don’t forget to register through Christel. After the pizza lunch, we will be heading over to the flips table for another round of Hospitality Flips. Here you can win tickets for the Blackjack Championship!

Interview with our new Hospitality Hostess: Christel Natri
Melvin: Tell me, Christel, you, alongside the famous Andreas 'Wiseguy' Hoglund, who is a super-professional poker player, but how did you come into contact with poker in the first place?
Like many others in ”my generation” (I’m not THAT old though!) my first contact with Poker was when Swedish TV started showing Poker After Dark and other shows back in the days. It was love at first sight and it took me both to the tables at the local poker room ”Sviten” a lot and to a job at the Casino Cosmopol in Stockholm where I stayed for more than 10 years….
Melvin: You are going to deal with hospitality events in Malta. What people can expect and what events really cannot be missed?
We have a huge variety of events planned for our Hospitality as you can see from our schedule but I would like to especially recommend the Beach Day and the Pool Party, to get You all a well deserved break from the tables!
Melvin: Malta has a lot of sun, sea, and so much more. What is or are the things you look out for the most?
It is actually my very first visit to ”The Rock” so I am excited about everything! Asking around I have gotten a lot of tips of things to see and do and I hope to get as many in as possible, even if ”closing Paceville at 6AM” seems like the one I might pass on….
Melvin: The Festival crew has a rule in place for newcomers in the crew. Singing a song. When can we expect your song to be shared among the team members?
I am aware of this (newly founded) rule. What song did you perform, Melvin…?? But as we arrive a day or two ahead of The Festival start, I guess I have to take the whole team to a Karaoke Bar and show my skills before it all starts! Maybe some Swedish Eurovision!?
Melvin: Of course, we will also have a ladies event. You for sure will be playing it i reckon. What is your take on ladies events in general?
I will be playing for sure! For me, one of the best things about Poker is that Women and Men compete on equal terms and in the same tournaments, compared to many other Sports, which I consider Poker to be. But the Ladies Events are so important to recruit new Female players and later on get them to crush also in the open events! So with that said, I hope to see maaany ladies in our Queens Event, Friday, Sept 19th, 16.00 I promise to buy whoever busts me a drink, but I’m going for the win...
