The time for the next installment of The Festival Series is almost upon us!
Having had an incredibly successful stop in Rozvadov, which featured a record-breaking Hendon Mob Championship and the second-largest Festival Main Event turnout, the team will be in Tallinn from July 16th to the 20th with a Sviten edition of the series.
For those new to the game of Sviten Special, it is essentially a combination of five-card draw and PLO. Anders "Bengan" Bengtsson invented the game in a poker club in Stockholm called The Sviten Club in the early 2000s.
The game has picked up traction in cardrooms around the world. It has even made its way over to the States, where it is known as "drawmaha".
Players are allowed to draw 1-5 cards after the postflop betting round, and cannot draw more on the turn or the river. Players have to declare the number of cards they are discarding. If they choose only one card, it is dealt face up, and it can be replaced if the player decides they don't want that card.
It is a split-pot game with half of the pot being awarded to the best five-card draw hand (the five cards in hand), and the other half will be awarded to the PLO hand (two cards from the player's hand and three cards from the board).
